Individual Video Guidelines

Frame yourself in your video as shown in this picture. Film it HORIZONTALLY (longways, not tall), with you in the center. Prop your recording device on a shelf, cabinet, counter, etc. to get it level with you. Please don't video from the floor, up your nose. Be mindful of your background. Video INSIDE so we don't have outside noise; however, find a time to do so when it's quiet. TV noise in the background or people talking will mess up your video. Make sure there are no offensive things pictured behind you.
For I Want You Back, You Learn and What is this Feeling?, wear a school appropriate shirt with no logos, graphics, pictures, text, etc. Solid colors or prints are fine. Hopefully we will have our show shirts to film the last two. |
WHEN MR. DUNCAN SAYS "CLAP" ON THE RECORDING, YOU MUST CLAP AND HE MUST BE ABLE TO SEE AND HEAR YOU CLAP. You will need TWO devices to do this. You will use one to listen to the demo track with headphones. You will use the second device to record your video on flipgrid. Use the demo tracks above to listen while you record. Be sure to only sing YOUR part, not solos or parts that other sections sing.
As with all performances, this will count as a performance grade. Performance grades account for 40% of your average per the school system's grading percentages for performing arts classes. I will grade your performance as closely as possible to how I would if we were live. The break down will be as follows: 10%- Are you on time for the performance? (virtual- did you turn it in on time?), 10%- Are you in costume/dress code for our performance?, 80%- Overall performance (virtual- did you follow all of the guidelines for the recording, are the majority of the pitches and rhythms correct, are you singing correctly, is your diction correct, are you observing expressive markings, etc)
